Seniors

At Turkcell, we create value by putting technology at the service of life and supporting projects that generate social benefit. Since the day we were founded, we have been implementing social inclusion projects that aim to ensure that everyone has equal opportunities to access information by placing the equalizing power of technology at the center of all our social responsibility projects.

Digital Spring Project

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, we have established a total of 20 “Dijital Bahar” (Digital Spring) lounges in nursing homes across Türkiye, aiming to create technology-equipped, comfortable, and engaging spaces that connect elderly residents with life.

Thanks to Turkcell’s digital applications, residents in these lounges can watch TV, listen to music, make video calls with loved ones, access e-government services, play digital games, and explore the scenic beauty of our country through virtual reality. With the goal of bringing the Dijital Spring project to our elders and harnessing the healing power of technology, this journey continues with growing momentum.

Our mission is to help elderly citizens become more connected and socially engaged through the digital world. With the project, we opened Digital Spring technology halls in Osmaniye, Adana, Aydın, Samsun and Erzincan in 2023. We continued to bring technology to our elders by reaching a total of 10 nursing homes in Ankara, Bursa, İzmir, Osmaniye and İstanbul provinces, which were previously included in our project. In 2024, we opened Digital Spring Halls in 10 nursing homes affiliated with the Ministry of Family and Social Services in 10 provinces.

With the motto “There is no age limit to learning with Turkcell Dijital Bahar!” we aim to ensure that elderly residents can safely engage with the online world through educational sessions conducted in these technology-equipped saloons.

Digital Spring – Digital Literacy Trainings

As part of the Digital Spring project, we also launched Digital Literacy training programs in 2024. These sessions aim to empower our seniors, enhance their confidence, and increase their motivation to stay active and connected. The training covers topics such as what is digital literacy, cyber security, e-government and other e-citizen applications, social media, digital signatures, and digital banking. We have completed these trainings in all nursing homes where Digital Spring lounges are installed.
