THE FIRST ABUTMENT OF THE “BRIDGE OF HEARTS” BUILT IN DIYARBAKIR
The “Bridge of Hearts” Project prepared jointly by the Ministry of National Education and Turkcell was kicked off with a ceremony in Diyarbakır. The Project is intended to have 100,000 students from all of Turkey’s 81 provinces visit provinces other than their own, know Turkey’s natural and cultural beauty, and build lasting friendships.

Turkcell Sponsored CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia for the 7th time
Turkcell displayed new products and services including "BiletCELL", "Otomubul", "NeBuÇalan" and "Push to Talk" during the Convention
Turkcell's stand had the theme "Turkcell is with you everywhere". The stand covered 713 square meters of Hall 7 which was dedicated to telecommunications and mobile communications products. Visitors to the convention were also greeted by additional "TurkcellExtra Everything is Here" points, the Hazır Kart tent (Turkcell's brand for prepaid subscribers) and the Turkcell truck. Turkcell displayed various personal, corporate, Hazır Kart services at its stand and at these communication points.
Contemporary Girls of Contemporary Turkey
Turkcell has been awarded the Institute of Public Relations' IPR Excellence Awards, one of the most prestigious awards in the public relations field, for its educational project named "Contemporary Girls of Contemporary Turkey." Turkcell competed for the award with over 270 entrants in 14 categories.

Turkcell was the lead "festival sponsor" for the 20th International Istanbul Film Festival, which was held from the 14th - 29th of April. Turkcell has been sponsoring the Festival for the last three years. During the festival more than 180 movies, among which 4 of them were Oscar Nominees, were presented.

Free Sport Schools Project
The "Free Sport Schools Projects," which was commenced by National Olympics Committee, Ladies Commission in 1996, is undertaken to support physical and mental development of children, who otherwise have no means to engage in sports. At Free Sport Schools, students between the ages of 7 and 14 shall have the opportunity to engage in sports without any physical or economic prerequisites.
