What is the difference of AkıllıMesaj 2.1 from previous versions?
In the new version of AkıllıMesaj, you can type messages up to 459 characters. When you click on the AkıllıMesaj button on the standard toolbar on Office programs, a window will be opened where you can type the name of one of your contacts in your address book in Outlook and send a message up to 459 messages. You can send messages to subscribers in Turkey or abroad. AkıllıMesaj address book accepts contacts up to 1000 people. You can transfer 1000 people to your AkıllıMesaj and generate groups. To be able to track your messages, the capacity of the sent messages list has been increased to 100. Punctuation marks are considered as one character (@ is an exception and considered as two characters). Every time AkıllıMesaj is launched, an info window is displayed. This window can be deactivated through Security Settings menu or when it is first displayed, you can uncheck it to make sure that it is not displayed again. For our users who have slower connections, AkıllıMesaj is also available in parts and it is sufficient only to run the first file to install the program.
What do I need to do to use AkıllıMesaj program?
After downloading AkıllıMesaj program at http://www.turkcell.com.tr , every time you turn on your computer, you will be prompted to enter your SuperPassword and your phone number. If you haven’t received a password yet, you can type in ‘sifre’ in the message section of your messages menu of your phone and send to 2222 to get your password. You don’t need a subscription to start using AkıllıMesaj service, getting super password will suffice.
I installed AkıllıMesaj. How can I find it on office applications?
After AkıllıMesaj program is installed, it will be shown as a Cell-O icon on the desktop and in the system tray. It is also on the standard toolbars of word, excel and outlook.
What can I do using Akıllı mesaj?
- Sending messages: You can write SMS up to 459 characters and send to a contact or a group you choose.
- Saving messages: You can send the messages you wish to keep to 2270 and keep them at the Personal Messages menu on the Compose Message section and if you wish you can use these messages as templates and send to other people.
- HazırMesaj: Using templates of special categories, you can show that you remember your loved ones on their special days.
- Turkcell Services: Using AkıllıMesaj, you can access your latest invoice, find out how much you talked and get your GPRS,WAP MMS settings.
- Design your own logo!: TBy clicking on the design your own logo button on Turkcell services section, you can send a picture on your computer to your mobile phone.
- MaxiDesign: By clicking on the ‘MaxiDesign’ button on Turkcell services section, you can access MaxiDesign where you can prepare audio and interactive messages.
- Transferring phones: By using ‘transferring phones’ on personal section, you can transfer the GSM numbers in your Outlook Global address book (1000 numbers) to your AkıllıMesaj address book.
- Calendar:You can make sure the messages and appointments you save are reminded to you on the date and time you want or on a regular basis or reminded to another person by SMS.
Why do I need to enter the number that is displayed after I entered my superpassword on Turkcell AkıllıMesaj login screen?
After you enter your SuperPassword, as a second security precaution, you will be prompted to enter the displayed number in the box below. The format of the number on the screen may be distorted due to security reasons. After you enter this number, you can send messages.
How can I uninstall AkıllıMesaj program?
Using the remove/add programs in the control panel of your computer, you can remove AkıllıMesaj from your computer.
Can I answer a message sent with AkıllıMesaj, from my phone? What do I need to do that?
To answer a message sent to you with AkıllıMesaj, simply choose ‘reply’ on the menu of your phone. When you answer a message sent by AkıllıMesaj, you will be charged over the normal SMS tariffs.
How will I be charged when I send my message to more than one person at once and how will it be reflected on my invoice?
The message you sent to more than one person is charged according to the number of the people you will send this message to and it will be shown on your invoice with AKL at the end of each recipient number ('0532xxxxxxxAKL').
How will the messages sent from AkıllıMesaj be reflected on the invoice?
Short messages sent from AkıllıMesaj, will be shown with ‘AKL’ in the end of the recipient number ("0532xxxxxxxAKL")
How am I charged in AkıllıMesaj?
The program you download to use AkıllıMesaj is free. You will be charged the price of 1 SMS for messages you will send to Turkcell, Hazır Kart or other domestic operators. International SMSs are charged 3 units per message. When a long message is sent, the message will be split into parts depending on the number of the characters it has and will be considered as multiple messages. For example a 200-character message is considered as 2 short messages and will be charged as 2 short messages. Messages sent from Outlook and Word will be charged according to the number of characters. 1 SMS is charged at 2 units up to 160 characters and for 4 units up to 306 characters (as 2 SMS) and 3 SMS for 6 units (up to 459 characters). The price of keeping messages through 2270 is 1 SMS/2 units. The price of sending logos is 1 SMS/2 units.
How should I write the recipient numbers when I want to send my message to more than one people at once?
To send your message to more than one person at once, you need to put semi colon between the numbers to which you will send your message. For example: 5xxxxxxxxx. In AkıllıMesaj address book, type the name/surname as saved in the address book and again put semi colon (;) between contacts. For example: "Banu Celik; Ozlem Akan; Yasemin Koc". For messages sent through Outlook, Word and Excel, you can type in the name/surname of the people that are saved in your Outlook address book with their GSM number or saved in your AkıllıMesaj address book. You can write more than one name by putting semi colon between the numbers.
What is the maximum number of people I can send message to?
You can send the message you type in AkıllıMesaj to as much people as you want or to a group you will define.
How will my long message from AkıllıMesaj be displayed on the handset of the person that receives it?
It depends on the device model of the person that receives the message. It is shown as a single message in phones that can accept messages with characters more than 160. In other phones, it is split into parts and each is displayed as a separate message.
How many messages can I send through AkıllıMesaj and what is the maximum allowed length for a message?
There is no daily limit for sending messages. You can send messages with up to 459 characters. The ‘SMS numbers’ and ‘Used characters’ counters will show number of messages and how many characters they have.
How can I send messages from Office programs?
When you press AkıllıMesaj button on the standard toolbar on Office programs, you must enter the number and the SuperPassword. On the message window, you will see the selected cell or the text on the page. When you press send, the message will be sent. Using Office applications, you can send SMS with up to 459 characters. If you pressed enter and went to the beginning of another line, AkıllıMesaj will replace that with a space.
I installed AkıllıMesaj but I can’t see it on the standard toolbars of Office programs. What should I do?
Right click on your standard toolbar. The toolbar used for the Office program will be displayed. You can find AkıllıMesaj on this list. If it is not on this list, select About Microsoft Office Word-Excel-Outlook / Microsoft Office in Help menu. Press the Disabled Items / Devre dışı button on the window that opens. Choose AkıllıMesaj on the window that opens and select Enable/Etkin Kıl below and place AkılllıMesaj on the toolbar.
How can I install AkıllıMesaj?
After you download it in your computer, close the older version (2.0) by right clicking on the icon in the system tray. If you have Office applications, Word, Excel or Outlook running, shut down them as well. Double click on the AkıllıMesaj program you just downloaded and start installation. If your connection is slow, we recommend that you download it in pieces. Keep all three files in the same folder in your computer. When you click on Link, select save in computer. When you run the first file with an .exe extension,, other files will be opened automatically and a new file called ‘TurkcellAkıllıMesaj.exe’ will be generated. Double click this file and start the installation. During installation process, it will ask you whether if it should put AkıllıMesaj in the startup. If you choose yes, AkıllıMesaj will be automatically launched when your computer starts and you can log in with your SuperPassword and send messages.
